The Indianapolis Colts signed veteran Joe Flacco in the offseason but did not hope that they would need to turn to the former Super Bowl champion this early in the season. The 39-year-old led the Colts to a 20-17 comeback win over the Tennessee Titans last week. Flacco was 22 of 38 for 189 yards to lead the Colts, who went 10-0 in the final quarter to turn the game around. He threw two touchdown passes, including one to wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. in the bottom half of the final quarter, which proved to be the key play of the game. Flacco was even more impressive the week before when he had 359 yards in the Colts loss to the Jaguars. Now, Indianapolis is second in the AFC South with a 3-3 record.
Miami Dolphins Stats & Form
The Miami Dolphins came into the season with Super Bowl hopes, and just over a month into the season, things do not look promising for Mike McDaniel’s team. In the first five games on the schedule, the Dolphins head coach had to start three different quarterbacks. Tua Tagovailoa went down with a concussion; the team scored only three points with Skylar Thompson in Week 3, and now Tyler Hunntley is the main man on the offense. The Dolphins snapped a three-game losing streak in Week 5 with a 15-10 win over the New England Patriots. In his second start, Huntley completed 18 of 31 passes for 194 yards and one interception. Tyreek Hill caught six passes for 69 yards, and Jaylen Wright ran for 86 yards. The Dolphins, who had a week off, are second in the AFC East with a 2-3 record.

The Miami Dolphins came into the season with high hopes, but things quickly changed after standout quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sustained a concussion in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills and missed the past three games. When it seemed like things could not get any worse for the Dolphins, their second quarterback, Skylar Thompson, sustained a rib injury when he started in Week 3. Now, the Dolphins have turned to their third option, Tyler Huntley, who started the past two games and hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass while being intercepted once. All those struggles at the QB spot have limited the production of standout receivers Tyreek Hill (23 catches, 286 yards) and Jaylen Waddle (21 catches for 258 yards). Besides Tagovailoa and Thompson, the Dolphins will play without safeties Jevon Holland and Jordan Poyer. On the good side, sidekick De’Von Achane has returned to full practice and is hopeful of clearing the concussion protocol this week after getting hurt against the Patriots. Just like the Dolphins, the Indianapolis Colts had their own issues at the quarterback spot. Their starter, Anthony Richardson, missed the last two games, and head coach Shane Steichen said that Richardson would start unless he has a setback. If that is not the case, the Colts will once again turn to veteran Joe Flacco, who replaced Richardson early in a Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and started the past two games. He has thrown for 716 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception. Regardless of who will start at QB for each team, both the Dolphins and the Colts are struggling offensively, so we go with under 43.5 points in this one.
