Last week, the Jags failed 24-20 to the Houston Texans, even thought they had the lead going into the final quarter. Trevor Lawrence threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns as his streak of consecutive starts without a win stretched to nine games.
Indianapolis Colts Stats & Form
The Indianapolis Colts are second in the AFC South with a 2-2 record. Things did start well for them either as they lost the first two games on the schedule. They were very close in the season opener but failed 19-17 to the Houston Texans and then lost 16-10 on the road against the Green Bay Packers. Then, the Colts bounced back, first with a 21-16 win against the Chicago Bears and a 27-24 victory last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Colts has a comfortable 17-3 lead at the halftime but put the win in jeopardy late in the game. The key man in the victory was veteran Joe Falco who had to enter the game after Anthony Richardson got injured. The 39-year-old Flacco threw two touchdown passes, and the Colts got the stop they needed in the final minute.

Looking into the standings going in Week 5 of the season, the Jacksonville Jaguars are at the very bottom of the league, still looking for their first win. Looking more closely in the scoreboard it is a fact that they played three of those four games on the road and three of those four losses came with no more than five points. The thing that look really bad is the fact that quarterback Trevor Lawrence has lost the last nine games starting for the Jaguars and there is no excuse for that. There is no doubt that he has the individual quality but the team has been struggling with him leading the way. The Colts have won the last two games and definitely have the momentum but it is a huge question if they can keep that run going. The Jaguars have to pick their game up before getting themselves in a deeper hole so we go with them to cover the -2,5-point spread.
