Aaron Rogers has not been much of a help for the New York Jets this season and firing the head coach will bring nothing to the Jets if the top player on the team does not step up. The Bills have a solid start of the season and it will be interesting to see what their offense can do on Monday.

The Jets found themselves in a deep hole since the Vikings took a 17-0 lead. Still, they had a chance to drive for a potential winning score in the final minutes but Stephon Gilmore intercepted Aaron Rodgers’ pass intended for Mike Williams and the Vikings stayed undefeated. Rodgers was 29 of 54 for 244 yards, two touchdown passes and three interceptions.

The Buffalo Bills had a strong start of the season but the tough schedule was obviously too much for them. They went 3-0 with two blowout wins but lost the last two in Baltimore and Houston and are still on top of the AFC East. The Bills found themselves 17-3 down on halftime against the Texans but went on to score 14 points in the third quarter. Anyway, thigs did not go well for them in the finish as Texans’ Ka′imi Fairbairn’s made a 59-yard field goal as time expired. Josh Allen was not on his recognizable level as he was 9 of 30 for 131 yards which is his worst performance of the season.

Now, interim coach Jeff Ulbrich is taking over the team for Monday’s game against the Bills. Whether the coaching change will make a difference mainly depends on the players, and veteran Aaron Rodgers knows that. He admitted that the team play has a lot to do with Saleh getting fired, and the four-time MVP is the first one who needs to step up. He has completed just 61 percent of his passes this season and been sacked 13 times while passing for 1,093 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions. His colleague on the other side, Josh Allen, is also struggling lately. The Bills quarterback was only 9-for-30 passing for 131 yards and one touchdown in last weekend’s 23-20 road loss to the Texans. Despite that loss, Buffalo still ranks third in scoring at 28.4 points, but just 22nd in total offense (299.8). Khalil Shakir leads the Bills in both receptions (18) and receiving yardage (230), as a go-to receiver has yet to emerge. He sat the last practice for the Bills but is expected to start on Monday. On the other side, Jets cornerback Michael Carter II, linebacker C.J. Mosley, and offensive tackle Morgan Moses did not practice this week.
