The focus is now on the domestic competition where Inter has won the last two games against Udinese and Torino, both by 3-2. Inter is the best offensive team in the league scoring 16 goals so far, as many as Atalanta.

For three consecutive seasons, Roma had absolutely the same results, finishing sixth in Serie A standings and losing in the quarterfinals of Coppa Italia. That would be a solid result for many teams in Italian football, but not for “The Wolves,” who have been much better in previous seasons. That is the main reason why the team management decided to make a coaching change and replace Daniele De Rossi with Ivan Juric, who spent the previous three seasons in Torino. Despite the change, things are not going particularly well for Roma. Being ninth in the standings with only two wins in seven games is not what they expected from this season. Still, it is too early to judge, but Roma definitely needs to do something outstanding, like maybe beating the defending champion Inter at Olimpico on Sunday. Juric has all key players available for this game as only Alexis Saelemaekers and Enzo Le Fee are injured. Things are even better for Inter, who had no injured player before their trip to Rome. What may be an issue for the visitors is the fact that the vast majority of the players were away with their national teams and that a visit to Bern to play Young Boys on Wednesday in the Champions League is awaiting. Inter, as the defending champions, have a solid start to the season, being ranked second, but the loss to the city rival Milan exposed all their vulnerabilities. Simone Inzaghi has a deep roster with multiple players on every spot of the pitch, but it seems like Marcus Thuram is the only one capable of scoring. Inter plays well when they have the majority of possession, and things do not look that good when they are on their own half of the pitch. Juric definitely knows that and will try to have control of the ball and be aggressive. This is a huge opportunity for him as a coach and the team, in general, to boost their season with a good performance against the defending champion. Beating Inter is not impossible at this point, so we go with a double chance on Roma.
