Dimitrov is coming off a 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 semifinal win over Tallon Griekspoor. Previously this week, Dimitrov defeated Dominik Stricker 6-3, 6-2, and Quentin Malys 7-6, 6-3. This will be his fourth final of the season and a chance to win his second title. He won the first one in the opening week of the season, defeating Holger Rune in the Brisbane final. Then he lost to Ugo Humbert in Marseille and to Jannik Sinner in Miami. At the Grand Slam stage, Dimitrov reached the quarterfinals at the French Open and the US Open. He has a total of 19 career titles, ten of which were on the ATP tour.
Tommy Paul – Grigor Dimitrov: Head to Head

The final match of the ATP Stockholm will see two players from the top 15. Both Paul and Dimitrov still hope to finish the season in the top 10 and book a ticket for the final Masters of the season. Dimitrov reached the top 10 status earlier this season for the first time since 2017. He won the title in Adelaide at the beginning of the year, which was his first in the last 7 years. It is a fact that the Bulgarian never really reached his full potential, but it is nice to see him back in the elite company. Tommy Paul has been just short of the top 10 for a couple of years now. Many believed that he will finally break the ice and reached the top 10, but he never made it higher than 12th spot. Being a former champion in Stockholm and the fact that this will be his fourth final this season puts him in the favorable role for this match. Also, Paul did not drop a single set this week in the Swedish capital, while Dimitrov had to come back from a set down in the semifinal. Whoever has seen these two players knows that they have a very similar playing style. They both have solid serve and moves well on the court especially like this one in Stockholm.
