In only a couple of weeks from now, we will see the greatest League of Legends teams battle their hearts out in the World Championship Main Stage. The greatest tournament will take place from September 25th and is scheduled to end on the 2nd of November. In this article, we will cover the exact locations, schedule, teams as well as ticket prices for the event.
Worlds 2024 Schedule
As previously mentioned the timeline of the event will span from September 25th all the way up to 2nd November. The event will be hosted in venues across multiple European cities: Berlin, Paris, and London.
The play-in stage will be played from September 25th to September 29th in the Riot Games Arena in Berlin.
The Swiss stage will take place from October 3rd to October 13th. The Swiss stage will be hosted at the same location in Berlin.
The final knockout stage is scheduled for October 17th to November 2nd. It will be hosted in the Adidas Arena in Paris, as well as London’s O2 Arena.
Worlds Championship Format
The First Stage
The first stage will be the play-in stage where 8 teams will be playing 2 best of 3 elimination brackets, 2 winners from each bracket will advance to the Swiss stage. Teams whose results will equal to 1:1 will face the opposite group lower bracket winner from the first round to decide the last two spots for the second stage.
Swiss Stage
The 5 round Swiss stage will have 16 teams competing. The draw will consist of teams playing non-regional matches. Afterwards, matchmaking will have teams with the same win/loss ratio battle (teams will not be in the same region). The teams that achieve 3 wins will move to the next stage, while teams who lose 3 will be eliminated.
Knockout Stage
The knockout stage will have the best 8 teams compete in a single-elimination bracket, with a best of 5 matches.
The Qualified Teams
So far, 14 teams have qualified for the League of Legends Worlds Championship, and there are 6 more to be determined. Here are the confirmed teams for the Swiss Stage:

First team will be Bilibili Gaming with a roaster featuring: ON, Elk, Bin, Wei, Knight
Second team will be Top Esports: Meiko, JackeyLove, Creme, Tian, 369, Meiko
Third team is LGN Esports: Gala, Zika, Weiwei, Hang, Scout
The final LPL team is Weibo Gaming: Light, Tarzan, Xiaohu, Crisp Breathe

- Swiss Stage tickets will run from $38 to $49.
- The quarterfinal tickets are sold for $44 up to $109.
